Opportunities to serve on upcoming courses in Fishkill, NY this May – June

New York Vipassana Association is holding two 10-day courses and one 3-day course in Fishkill, New York, this May-June 2026. Old students are encouraged to apply to serve the courses, the camp setup days, and/or the camp breakdown day.

If you are interested, please fill out an application form by clicking on the dates below and/or navigating to the appropriate place on the course schedule page. Descriptions of the various types of service are below.

Camp setup May 2nd-3rd 70 servers needed. Set up the Fishkill site for the course, including preparing the meditation hall, kitchen and dining areas, dormitories, grounds, and registration tables.
Day 0 service May 9th
May 21st
May 26th 		20 servers needed. Between course periods to help set up and launch the courses, including Day 0, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.*
On call drivers May 9th-20th
May 21st-May 25th
May 26th-June 6th		 Help pick up supplies during the course. Email or call us to apply – see the Setup Weekend, Between Course, Breakdown Days Page (for old students). Must live near the course site in Fishkill, NY.
Metta Day service May 19th
May 24th
June 5th		 Experienced servers. See note below for details about how to apply.**
Camp breakdown June 6th 30 servers needed. Day service for camp breakdown, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.

May 26th – June 6th 3-Day Course
May 21st – May 25th 		May 9th course is open for applications.

* Servers may apply to serve for part-time or full-time during the between course periods (listed above).

** For experienced servers on Metta day, apply to serve the course part-time, with your arrival day (e.g. for the 10-day course starting on May 9th, list May 19th, day 10, as your arrival day) and time, and mention Metta Day in the notes section of the application.

All servers interested in coming for Metta day or to assist on Day 0 are welcome to assist on Day 11 of the first 10-day course (May 20th) or Day 4 of the 3-day course (May 25th).
